Fork yeah!

We made our way to T&T’s Tequila Grill and Cantina, and let me just say, this spot did not disappoint. From the drinks to the main dishes, it felt like a solid win across the board.. well, almost.

The horchata was the perfect kickoff. Cold, creamy, and just sweet enough. I’ve had some that taste watered down or overly spiced, but this one hit that smooth balance that makes you want to order a second. The margarita on the rocks were a total standout – refreshing, smooth and mixed just right. It paired perfectly with our food.

Vanessa had the handmade tacos and they were packed with flavor. She went with the al pastor, carne asada, and pollo asado- all were juicy, tender, and loaded onto soft, warm tortillas. They topped it all off with onion, cilantro, and muddled avocado- nothing overcomplicated, just done right.

Vanessa also ordered the pozole, and she said it was probably her favorite of the night. The red chili broth was deep and rich, the pork was fall-apart tender, and the cabbage, radish, and lime gave it that perfect fresh crunch. Comfort food status: unlocked.

I had the California burrito and it was exactly what I’d hope for: grilled steak, crispy fries, sour cream, and cheese all wrapped up in a giant tortilla. It was hefty in size and didn’t skimp on any of the ingredients.

Now for the one letdown of the night: the churro cheesecake. I was hyped for this one- dessert lover right here! The name alone had me thinking cinnamon-sugar magic and creamy goodness, but it just.. fell flat. It was dry, lacked that churro warmth or cinnamon flavor, and didn’t taste much like cheesecake either. Total bummer because the rest of the meal had been on point. You know when a dessert tanks so hard it leaves a weird afterthought? Yeah. That.
But overall, the vibe, the food, and the drinks were absolutely worth it. I’d definitely go again- just next time, I’ll be skipping the cheesecake and ordering another dessert.
